The Fabulous Foursome - Yes Again!

Central Pierce Relay 2005

Dani and Kaitlyn (her want-to-be adopted daughter)

Kaitlyn (also known as "Mini-K") helps out at Central Pierce's Relay setting up Dani's team tent site. I believe the finished product earned her team 2nd place in the tent judging competition. As Dani so eloquently puts it: "Kaitlyn is a SUPERSTAR!"

Pissy & Smelly

We know how much you love your photo posted on the web! You two have really bad nicknames. Maybe you'd prefer Hot Cleav and Hot Tuna? Yes? No?

Cute Couple!

Tim and Chris. Wait a second! That's the wrong "Chris". Timothy! That is NOT your wife!

This is better. That's the right Kris (spelled correctly!) Mr. & Mrs. Babbitt.

Braces!

Miss Kaitlyn got her bottom braces put on this morning. She is a "full brace-face" now. She's sore, but still able to eat chips, so it can't be that bad! Posted by Picasa A Kaitlyn "Self Portrait". She's the prodigy of one, very special, SM!

I LOVE this dog!

The Brit Had A Birthday

It's my birthday!

We celebrated the ever important birthday of the British Chippie by laughing at Catholism with a Nun. Kind of a non-typical birthday. The Fabulous Foursome had a night out on the town beginning at Stanford's for dinner and drinks (complete with presents, "happy claps" and a simply horrible rendition of "happy birthday"). We then headed to Seattle for the Late Nite Catechism show. We all laughed so hard there was probable "leakage" and an emergency run over to Cheesecake Factory to use the potty. One of us almost didn't make it and had to use the fire hydrant. Hmmm...which one of us was that?
It was a night filled with laughter that will never be forgotten. And just in case my talent for remembering odd details begins to fade with old age, there are plenty of pictures to jog the memory banks!

A Summer BBQ at the Mauss Homestead

We had a fabulous time feasting on amazing steak and crab. It was a great day with friends on the water. There was a vigorous game of Catch Phrase, in which the women won, naturally. The kids even went tubing on the sound. Somewhere in Shelley's twisted mind, she thought she could actually get me in the water on the tube. She even generously offered me a pair of her dad's swim trunks (hawaiin floral pattern) and a John Deer t-shirt as a make-shift swim suit. Everyone was thankful that I stayed fully clothed.

A Great Quote & Note to Those I LOVE

"The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them."

This quote is dedicated to my wonderful husband, Sir Timothy, my beautiful daughter, Mini K, and the best friends a girl could ever hope to have (and you know who you are: Maxine, British Chippie, Smelley, and Pissy Loo). I LOVE you all very much and can't imagine my world without all of you in it. I am a much better person for the things you all bring to my life! I hope you always know how important you are to me!

A Beautiful Summer Day

Is there a better way to spend a hot summer Sunday than on the Sound? It was a gorgeous day to go boating with friends. We left from the Mauss Homestead headed under the Narrows and into Gig Harbor and then back via Day Island for a quick pit stop. Sunscreen conversations were a plenty, but the sunscreen sort of missed a few places as noted by the RED SKINNED girls at ML on Monday! The heat from our skin could provide heat for a small village! As Shelley put it before she called it a day: "God Bless Aloe Vera!"

Thank you Papa Mauss and Smellavision for making this fun adventure possible!

The Campers Return!

My camper children survived a few days in the woods. They made friends with some racoons. The girls were too scared to sleep in the tent with those scary animals around. True NW campers they are not! They came home a day early due to a little rain. Posted by Picasa

Look at that little face!

How could you not love this little sweet face?!

Sir Timothy and His Lady Kristine

The chaperones survived the late night bowling experience with 7 teenage girls. It's a miracle!
