Well after tonight, I do! So much for my brand new car! On my way home from work this evening, and only about 4 miles from home, I was rear-ended. I slowed down to an almost stop for the car in front of me that was turning right. The van behind didn't slow down and slammed right into me. I saw it coming and tried to move out of his way, but couldn't move fast enough. My car was hit and pushed into the oncoming traffic lane and thankfully no one was heading down the hill at the time or things could have been much worse
The bumper is done, and so is the trunk. The lights are toast and the exhaust pipe that you can't see (there are 2 on my car) has some issues as well. So much for my brand new car.

What I am thankful for is that no one was seriously injured and none of my kids were in the car with me. My thigh slammed into the steering wheel and I was limping when I got out of the car. I'm sure I'll have a pretty little bruise. My head is beginning to hurt now 3 hours after the accident. I can't wait to see how my head and neck feel in the morning. The young guy that hit me hurt his shoulder from the restraint of his seat belt. He had to pull his bumper off his wheel-well in order to drive home. I think it was a bad day for both of us!
