Shelley and Kris the night of the Kenny Chesney concert in Tacoma. Two hot babes - hot on the trail of Renee. Alas, no sightings, so she gets to keep her man Kenny until the next time they dare to visit our city. "Shelley Chesney" does have a nice ring to it! Better luck next year!
Little Miss Kaitlyn received two Student of the Year awards today for the entire 7th grade. She received the award for Journalism and for Leadership. She also received an overall Excellence award for living up to her God-given potential. GREAT JOB Kaitlyn. Your Mom is EXCEPTIONALLY proud of you, not just today, but always!!

Happy 14th Birthday Rosie!
Celebrating Shelley's 28th Birthday. The Fabulous Foursome was sans-one as Dani wasn't feeling well. We missed you! Happy B-day Smellavision!
What a ride! After 39 + hours at Relay getting ready, relaying, and cleaning up, I was exhausted. But it was so well worth it. We had record-breaking attendance - our best guess is about 5000 folks on Friday night. We also broke fundraising records for this event. So far the event is somewhere around $775,000 in the fight against cancer, with more $ to be counted The Merrill Lynch team beat its fund raising goal by bringing in more than $32,000. Wow! Way to go Team Merrill. Little miss Kaitlyn exceeded her personal goal. At the ripe old age of 12, Kaitlyn raised $1010 in the fight against cancer. Way to go Mini-K!! I am so proud to have been a part of this event! We WILL find a cure for this dreaded disease!
The only casualty at Relay this year....my poor feet!
My dear friends, Chris TLN and Dani TGN at 5:00 a.m. after 23 hours at Mt. T
McMenamins is a very unique place. It's an old Masonic Nursing Home that they've turned in to a hotel. All of the guest rooms have the stories of the previous tenants painted on the walls. It's a great weekend getaway location! We ate, drank (a lot) and had a great time. We even ran in to our cousins Julie & Jonathon that recommended the place to us. What a small world! Saturday we toured some wineries and enjoyed the tastings! Tim enjoyed his massage but my manicure sucked! I would recommend the hotel, but not the spa! The japanese soaking pool was very relaxing, but very HOT! Stories from the weekend include Tim wearing Pam's pink shorts, wet bricks (don't ask!), a bald guy named Steve with a pink bra on his head, and creative tree ornaments. We hope Pam & John had a good time! We're looking forward to our next McMenamins experience!
The Tacoma Relay is just 3 short weeks away. You still have time to donate on my Relay Web Page. Just follow the link to the right to Relay For Life. Please help me fight this dreaded disease. I don't want any more family members or friends to hear the words "you have cancer". This year I am walking in Relay in honor of my dear friend Dani Collins. She is currently battling cancer. Help me save her life and the lives of others. Your donation will make a difference!
